Garlic & Lemon Creole Shrimp

Warm up your winter with this spicy Creole Shrimp recipe. Turn up the heat with the addition of fresh hot peppers.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. medium to large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1½ tablespoons fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Creole Seasoning (see below)
  • 3/4 cup red bell peppers, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley

Directions

In a medium bowl, toss shrimp with garlic, Creole seasoning, and bell pepper.

Heat a sauté pan over medium high heat. Add shrimp and sauté turning once until just white throughout.

Add lemon juice and parsley and enjoy.

Makes 4 servings.

Creole Seasoning

  • 5 tablespoons paprika
  • 3 tablespoons sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons granulated onion
  • 2 tablespoons granulated garlic
  • 2 tablespoons dried oregano
  • 3 tablespoons dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ground white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper

 

In a small bowl, gently mix all ingredients until well combined.

Store in an airtight container.

Makes 1¼ cups
