According to a Gallup survey, consumers rank immune support as their top priority when purchasing supplements. Another comprehensive survey came to a similar conclusion. The National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey found that consumers used supplements primarily to improve “overall health.” Consumers used supplements much less frequently for specific conditions, such as asthma, allergies, diabetes, sleep, and relaxation. A notable exception is that men tend to use supplements for heart health, whereas women are more concerned with bone health.
